I purchased one of the Boafeng UV-13R radios on ebay for AU$67.91 from https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/334287021661. The main things that caught my attention was USB-C charging and the screen.

This radio is advertised as a 10W handheld with a 8800mA/hr battery. When I got the radio I pull the battery off and there is a sticker on the radio saying Power: ≤
5W and the battery has a sticker saying 1500mAh. Anyway after a lot of trying with the sellar ebay refunded the money and still have the radio so better program it.

One thing about programming this radio, it is not recognised by Chirp. So on a hunt to find the solution. I discovered this radio is the same as the Pofung UV15 is identical to this radio and it has programming software that comes from Pofung. I found a link to the software on this reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Baofeng/comments/snjjyt/how_to_program_frequencies_with_chirp_on_the/ so downloaded it. It’s very basic software that has no copy/paste or import features so it’s typing in all the info again.

The cable used is the same as used for the Baofeng UV-5R which you can get very cheap on ebay.
Botton line for this radio, it’s worth about the same or less than the Baofeng UV-5R as it has a nicer screen and it has more memory slots, but it’s battery is worse and can’t program it with chirp.
The above is the software I found so you can download from here if thats easier.
